The style is easy-going melodic West Coast jazz. The A sections present an opportiunity to weave a melodic line through through the chord changes while improvisation on the bridge suits a modal approach. I wrote this piece for my brother Alan's 80th birthday. '50s West Coast jazz is his favourite.
