LaRue Brown Watson, 1934 - 2005, was married to Clifford Brown, 1930 - 1956, who died in a car accident aged 26. I have been listening to his recordings for 50 years and Clifford Brown is still my favorite Jazz musician. Shortly after he died, Benny Golson wrote "I Remember Clifford" which immediately became a Jazz Standard. This Waltz is my tribute to his widow.
